Tall Grass Ventures is seeking a Venture Analyst Intern to join our team. As a firm that invests in early-stage technology businesses, our core values of collaboration, communication, diversity, and authenticity are critical to our success. We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual who shares these values and wants to be a part of building a new firm as a valued member of our growing team.


This is deemed a remote position.  


Working closely with the other members of the Tall Grass team, you will have the following primary area of responsibilities:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on potential investment opportunities, including market analysis and financial modeling
  • Perform due diligence on prospective portfolio companies and draft investment memos
  • Support with operational activities such as database management and continue to build and create operational efficiencies
  • Participate in the creation and presentation of internal sector studies and market analysis
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on potential investments and portfolio management

 

Qualifications:

As an emerging fund manager, it’s important to note that we move very fast! As our firm and internal operations evolve, other responsibilities are sure to emerge. We are keen to expand our team with someone who can excel independently and possesses a strong entrepreneurial drive to take on new challenges with curiosity and enthusiasm.

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Strong Written, verbal and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion/interest for agriculture and food and venture capital.


Term: This internship would be for May through August 2025, with an expected commitment of 40 hours per week.
